  • College Conference Changes???

This is a very interesting read about college conferences.

The Big 10, ACC, SEC, Pac 10 leave the NCAA. I just don't see that happening.

TV had this posted on his twitter page.

If you think about it, isn't that basically what the BCS is?

I guess if the big conferences want to kill off the NCAA basketball tournament, they can go ahead and do it . . .

I thought it was interesting also. While it may be a "doom and gloom" scenario by Syracuse's former AD (i think that is who it was), I think the only thing really stopping it is fear of the unknown. Would the new organization continue with where it is at in football now? Probably, I don't think Alabama fans who put 70,000 in the stands at the spring game while it was televised nationally are going to quit following the team if it joins an new organization.

The other revenue sport is men's bb and the impact on that is not known. March Madness would be dead, but it may be anyway with the expansion of the tournament. As the article points out, men's bb is not the driving force money wise for these conferences.

      Interesting possibilities, that's for sure.
