  • Official in Women's Final Four

I noticed that one of the officials in the Uconn vs Baylor game tonight was the same one that we had in the semi-final and championship game in the Summit league tournament this year. I thought it was interesting that an official that did the Summit tournament would be in the fianl four. I got to looking and he also did the Big 12 tournament this year.

Tyler Merriam caught that as well:

Brian Enterline is one of the referees in tonight's Gonzaga-Xavier Sweet 16 women's game. He was in Sioux Falls for the Summit Tournament.

I am thoroughly impressed by your memory.

He can't possibly be one of the 'regulars'-----can we PLEASE get him for ONE game this season? Maybe we can all chip in and pay his airfare, show him some footage of a typical game last year, and say, "we don't want home cookin', we just want a decent ref!!!"

I've never seen him at Frost in my life...and probably never will.

Further research shows him working SEC games, WNBA games, and past Final Fours.

            He's from Fort Wayne.

It's nice to dream, though, isn't it? To dream of officials that are as good as the Jacks..... Of a game where you actually -know- what the call is before the ref signals it?

All I want is a ref somewhere,
With two good eyes who's always fair.
Who won't make me tear out all my hair,
            Aow, wouldn't it be loverly?
He won't trip over his own two feet,
She's on top of plays, and won't get beat.
Good calls, good calls with every tweet,
            Aow, wouldn't it be loverly?
Aow, so loverly calls' abso-bloomin'-lutely right.
I would never complain at all
Until the next crew Monday night.
            So wonderful and fancy free,
Hard to believe as it may be. It's a ref who can see,
            Aow, wouldn't it be loverly?
            Loverly, loverly, loverly, loverly
