Yes Morrell seems to be a very good coach for defense and thats what USD has needed badly. I dought the NAIA experience means means a less coaching knowledge. Morrill's defense seem to stop UND very successfully so the differences are minor. Also Morrill can be a better coach with more skilled athletes. Morrill will do well no matter where lands.
I would agree with Ed MeierKort if the coach is a good fit then he is a good fit. I would not be surprised that Ed had his eye on him before Morrill left USF.
