  • USD "dismisses" Dusty Tetzlaff...

Per a text from a USD friend of mine. He's not sure what the situation is.

Maybe a mutual decision? Tetz played (by far) the fewest minutes. Maybe he wants to go somewhere where he can play? USD can now use his schollie to bring in a much needed big next year.

The Argus print edition reported that USD had suspended Dusty indefinitely and that Coach Boots would review the situation at a later date.

      From the Argus article:

In other news, USD has suspended freshman Dusty Tetzlaff indefinitely from the squad. The coaching staff declined to elaborate on the details, but Tetzlaff did not make the trip to Utah for the GWC tournament and will not be on the sidelines Tuesday night in Omaha.

Boots said Tetzlaff's status would be reviewed at a later date. A Watertown native, Tetzlaff played in 13 of the team's 31 games, averaging 1.7 points.

Sounds like an unfortunate situation, for him and USD basketball.

Lord knows we've been through our fair share.

Hope he gets it straightened out...whatever "it" may be.
