  • Life in transition to D-I

AP writer John Marshall, writing about the Coyotes' trip to Manhattan, Kansas to play #12 K-State:
Overmatched at nearly every position, the Coyotes never stood much chance in their second game ever against a ranked opponent, unable to keep Kansas State off the offensive glass, throwing passes to no one, watching helplessly as the Wildcats raced to the other end for one dunk after another.
Been there. Done that. Got the scars.

Oh, I don't know about that. Coyotes put up a 6-0 run in the first half and did a few things right here and there. Wasn't all gloom and doom.

Depends on who you read/listen to. The reports from Kansas City and the AP story tell of a kerblastication.

The story on KSFY last night made it sound like the Yotes lost a squeaker.

The reality is that K-State picked their score yesterday--even Boots said that there wasn't much the Coyotes could do vs. the Wildcats.

My only point is that you have days like that when you're in transition--I know we did.

I listened to the 6-0 run on the radio. It was a nice few minutes of play while K-State wasn't paying attention.
