I guess I'm not too surprised...I would say I wish him luck, but I have a feeling he will never find the success at UNLV that he would've had if he stay at Montana and waited for a better situtation.

I guess we'll see.

My opinion, I'm glad he isn't in the FCS division anymore. I won't miss him.

Now, let the discussion begin, will they promote from within or is Coach Stig going to get a phone call? (I couldn't resist)

Hauck is a smart man. I'm thinking he had 13-14 senior starters this year. He knew he had to strike when the iron was hot. I'm not sure I'd want the UNLV job, though.

As is expected, most Griz fans on their message board are disappointed they're losing Hauck -- I think it's been recognized for some time that Hauck was ready to jump ship. But, some Griz fans are happy about losing Hauck (those fans seem to believe UM football will just run itself and they don't want to give any credit to Hauck). One of the Hauck haters was booted from SDSUFans.com.

Spending the holidays in North Dakota, so hear on WDAY TV tonight about Hauck leaving. Steve Hellstrom also reported that Mike Breske might be one of the replacement candidates. I suspect its because of the NC that he and Joe Glenn won a few years back.

He's in a bigger media market. He won't be able to get away with it so easily.
