Nah. You'd sooner see Indiana in the SEC.

Everyone knows the Big East is held together with duct tape and TV contracts---they have too many basketball schools and not enough football schools.

yeah the Bison can keep dreaming that....

These are the steps I see "IF" they decide they need to add a team

        1. steal a school from either the Big East, Big 12, or SEC

        2. BUY a smaller school in the area (Central Michigan, Akron, Buffalo)

        3. Give Notre Dame billions of Dollars, and rename the conference the Notre Dame football conference, to have ND join the conference

If it gets to this point they would most likely agree to stick with 11 teams

        4. invite a school like SDSU, NDSU, UNI, or any other D-IAA football school into the conference.

Re: Alvarez wants Big Ten Expansion

The rumors are starting to heat up as the Big Ten could be looking at expanding to 14, if not 16 teams with the now-profitable Big Ten Network being a major factor in conference expansion.

Allegedly, Nebraska, Missouri, and Rutgers would bring the conference to 14 with Notre Dame and an additional school making 16 if the Golden Domers make the leap. A recap here:

Of course, the Gophers AD will only find out when the president tells him what is going on:
