I think this just goes to show that good football is good football. USF is laughed at by their level of competition, but laugh no more. It might be an upset but USF is absolutely Northern Sun ready, no doubt about it. I like it when lower level teams beat upper level teams. I always error on the side of thinking that the difference between divisions of football and other sports for that matter isn't as wide as many would like to think.
So USF beats UND, UND beats USD so USD is worse than an NAIA team?
I knew someone on this site would come up with that faulty logic.
I know another team that had an embarassing loss in transition, everything seems to have worked out well for them. The Sioux had a bad day, let's leave it at that.
At one point the USF broadcast said that the #1 & #2 running backs for UND went out with injuries, but I do not recall if the missed the rest of the game or came back later. Good win for USF, but I think they caught UND on a bad day to get the win. They played an excellant game, but as Zimmer put it in the Argus, you can not read too much into one game no matter how it comes out.
You can't teach an old dog new tricks, but you can never teach a stupid dog anything.
