Even if this game is considered an exhibition for RPI purposes, North Carolina will take a serious hit to their reputation if they lose this one......

IMHO it would serve North Carolina right to lose this game and slip a seeding or two in the tournament for having the arrogance to schedule this game in the first place.

I don't know that I'd call it arrogance, exactly, as there's a long break between the end of the conference tournament and the start of the NCAAs, and this game may have been scheduled as a way to keep the players in game form.

However, it doesn't appear (based on Mick's blog) that the players and coach were all that serious in the first half..... If they lose they've got no one to blame but themselves.

Since USD is not playing a full D-1 schedule this year, I'm pretty sure this game counts as an exhibition for Carolina.

But, if they lose it will be hard for the selection committee to ignore (assuming they haven't already slotted NC in and put the whole bracket to bed).

Thanks Filbert. I think it is somewhat ironic how 3 months ago there was some serious smack how everyone on here hated the U, and our fans the Jacks. Then came the Summit tourney and the Yotes rallied around the Jacks, and tonight the Jacks rallied alongside the Coyotes.

There is room for a healthy rivalry, and certainly alot of mutual respect.
