  • Ramses Barden

I don't know if anyone else caught Mr. Barden on some All-Star thing ESPN 2 had on last night. It was pretty cool, had him and some other WR (all NFL prospects I imagine) running drills in a competition. Was pretty cool to watch him. Maybe is Slostang still lurks around here, he can fill us in on what this thing was exactly....

Will be fun to see how he does in the NFL.

Didn't catch the show. But I've heard him mentioned by the ESPN guys as a pretty high draft prospect - second or third rounder, I think.

      From ESPN.com:

Barden is shooting up draft boards thanks to his size (6-foot-6, 220 pounds) and athleticism. While he doesn't have elite top-end speed Ramses does have impressive body control and soft hands. He dominated FCS competition this season, catching a touchdown once in every four receptions, and he showed against Wisconsin (6 rec., 83 yds., 1 TD) that he can hold his own against top competition. Ramses figures to come off the board early on Day 2 but could go as early as the late second round.

The Sporting News in their"20 Tidbits from the Senior Bowl turf" segment listed Barden as one of the five players who failed to make their marks.
