  • Surprised me!

I do a lot of surfing for recruiting news and just saw this on Rivals. Conrad Krutwig, a 6'6", 210 lbs PF out of Illinois has committed to be a Jackrabbit. Did this surprise anyone else?

Here is what I have seen, he's going to be a Coyote not a Jackrabbit.

      http://www.mouthpiecesports.com/high...onrad-krutwig/

6 foot 6 senior forward Conrad Krutwig of Jacobs High School verbally committed to Head Coach Dave Boots and the University of South Dakota of the Great West Conference. Krutwig chose to commit after taking a visit to the campus is Vermilion, South Dakota two weeks ago. Next year will be South Dakota’s first as a division one school.

“The state of the art dome that the Coyote’s play in, the chance to play early in his career in a brand new conference, and the coaching staff were all factors in Conrad’s decision. USD has an enrolment of over nine thousand students and has recently moved from the Division 2 level where Coach Boots had a record of 423-163 for a winning percentage of .722. Conrad felt that the coaching staff and the players were the right fit for him, and that the nationally ranked university offered him a chance to earn a quality college education,” stated his father via e-mail.”

#$^$%^. This is twice I have been duped. Last year a Tampa newspaper reported that a wideout from there verballed (turned out to actually be USD) and now this. Is it that difficult to distinguish between University of and State? Rivals is a recruiting site to boot. Moderators, feel free to delete this as I have started an erred thread.

              Re: Surprised me!

It was probably the state of the art Daktronics board that had him so mesmerized that he didn't notice what a terd the Dome is, especially as a basketball venue.

Kind of funny isn't it. As much as the dome is critisize it actually garnered a recruit for USD. Looks like the dome isn't too bad afterall, at least not for this kid.

If this kid knows as much about basketball as he does domes, I am glad that usd2 got him.

Did they show him the Commodore64 in the "computer" lab, too?

I think the dome isn't real bad for football but for basketball it sucks. I guess I haven't been there for a basketball game in years but sitting in the football stands on 1 side make it impossible to get a good environment. Oh well, he must not have went to many places when the have good facilities.

I guess the USD administration can take that new basketball arena off its wish list, then.

Don't go knocking the good ole' Commodore64!!! That was a fun gaming computer at the time (of course not on-line gaming). Oh, the good ole' days of the 80's are coming back to me.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
