I think the OU/Texas game is the best rivalry in College Football. You can keep your Ohio State/Michigan, your Cal/Stanford, your Florida/Georgia and your Auburn/Alabama I'll still take the OU/Texas game every time. This year is another great example of it. Two top 5 times battling out, with OU being up 1 at half. Sam Brafford, the QB for OU, is an absolute stud, he threw for over 200 yards in the first half with three scores. Colt McCoy is the real deal as well, I've never been a big fan of Colt and have thought he was overrated but he's playing really well this game.
JimmyJack, you experienced the rivalry when you were teaching at Oklahoma, what do you think of this rivalry? I read someplace that OU gives students Monday off after an Sooner win against Texas, is this true?? If it is, just goes to show where football is compared to academics down there.
