Article about the cost of "buy" games, definitely pertinent for us.

    LONGHORNS FOOTBALL

Cost of luring non-conference games on the rise

Florida Atlantic University's football team will return to Boca Raton after its Aug. 30 game against Texas with more than memories of its first matchup against the Longhorns.

The Owls also will take home a check for $900,000.

That's what it cost Texas to lure Florida Atlantic to Austin. In the business of college athletics, it's called a "buy" game, and in the current economic climate buying such non-conference contests has never cost more......

      Isn't Florida Atlantic University, FBS??

An FBS team is always going to get more than an FCS team to come to a place like Texas for no return. This is another lure for FCS teams to jump to FBS the last 10 years.

IMHO: I'll give SDSU and the rest of the MVFC 5 to 10 years. A lot of us like to think getting into the Summit was big(which it definitely was)but...IMHO, getting into the MVFC is going to prove to be the bigger "get" years down the road.

      Go Jacks!!
      SDSU...Passionate, Relentless, Champions.
