I feel bad for Terry. He does a great job and it has to be a tough job being away from home so much. He has a good point about how amazing it is that the team does so well with everything going on in the life of a student athlete.

Sometimes I miss these stories in the Argus. I will post this here as well. THis is why I like Terry so much. He works hard at writing these stories. It is always good to read things like this.

This is one of the things that continues to impress me with student-athletes.

As an example, take men and womens basketball. Most days they carry a full slate of classes, followed by weight training, and then practice. After that there is usually study table. Most road trips take three days, which means an equal number of class days missed. In alot of cases, these road trips require traveling all day by plane or bus. After that,they are expected to perform at a high level.

These young men and women inspire me.
