It's a great accomplishment to have a college athletic program win one national title. On successive days, our friends from Mankato won two - the women's title and the men's title. The only other athletic program to do that was Central Missouri State in 1984. SDSU has a deep connection to the head coaches of both teams. Emilee Gusso Thiesse was a graduate assistant at SDSU from 2004 to 2006. Her husband, Brandon, played football for the Jackrabbits. Matt Margenthaler served as the assistant coach under Scott Nagy for six years. Both terrific coaches and terrific people.
