If one were to write a book about the xDSU's D-I transition, this would be the big finale. A dramatic feel-good ending, all sports with conference homes. The rest of the transition is just an epilogue. "And they all lived happily ever after".

I can't agree that the transition is over. IMHO, I think the transition lasts until the freshman class that was recruited with a senior class recruited for D1 graduates. Is that a long transition period, maybe, but we need to keep improving everything every year.

I think the story of the D-1 transition isn't over until one of the basketball teams makes the NCAA tourney. Of course, there is a decent chance that event could occur as soon as 2009. 8-)Comment

Well, you'll need to keep growing and improving even after the transition period is over. But as far as major milestones on the 5-year transitional period to D-I, those are done.Comment
