Missouri State University has agreed to pay four members of the women’s tennis team $1,000 each under a terms of a settlement of a Title IX lawsuit.
The school eliminated the team for the 2006-07 school year. It also eliminated men’s tennis and men’s indoor/outdoor track and cross country in a move expected to save at least $350,000 in a budget that receives about $5 million from the school’s general fund.
