Legendary coach Bo Schembechler of the Michigan Wolverines passed away this morning, the day before Michigan's well publicized matchup with Ohio State, where Bo was a one time assistant under Woody Hayes.

I had the honor of meeting Bo during my time in Ann Arbor. I also met his youngest son Glenn at the Michigan-Northwestern game in 1991 through a well-connected friend. He was, it goes without saying, like royalty in A2. He certainly has uncanny timing given the importance of Saturday's game. Nothing like firing up the troops.
