I need assistance. I was under the impression that membership in the Mid-con gives us access to all NCAA postseason play in all sports beginning in 2008-2009 season. Is that not the case with men and women's basketball? What is the 13 year rule all about?

That is correct we are eligible for the postseason in every sport in the 2008-09 school year. The 13 year rule was set by the NCAA for MBB, but they changed it back to five years at about the same time we made the move up.Go Big! Go Blue! Go Jacks! -

No...this is not the case...from what I know, the 13-year wait period was only in place for a very short amount of time. We are not obligated by it since it was abolished shortly before or just as we announced we were going. Needless to say, that was BIG news for SDSU that went mostly unnoticed.Originally posted by NightHawk78Comment
