USD realized that they're not going to get much coverage from the Argus, so they had better hire their own beat writer to put out content. Thankfully SDSU provides enough clicks for Argus to focus manpower on covering SDSU sports.

...in fairness: every university has a sports information office which puts out stories and information for stories all the time. Garry's experience would make him a good addition to a sports information office assuming they needed someone to help pump out the propaganda.

Its definitely a good hire for USD. It does not sound like a full time job though, unless I read incorrectly.

Tbh it’s not a bad move by USeD, if you aren’t going to get the coverage you want from local papers you might as well do it yourselves and get all the all access articles you want.
