if these allegations against Louisville are true, how does the NCAA NOT give them the death penalty? (oh, that's right, we are talking about the NCAA)

This could be huge when the birds they have captured start singing to try and stay out of the cage. This has been going on for years but when your the goose that lays the golden eggs I'm not sure the ncaa really wanted to ruffle the feathers. This is so much different with the FBI involved. The somewhat sad part of this is in the end it will probably be the kids that pay the price. I have a feeling there will be some ruled ineligible or maybe even charged. I know they should of known better and not taken any $ but tell that to a teenage kid and his family that have nothing. Time will tell but as long as they keep score at games programs will be looking for an edge to come out on top.

This might be the another part of story as Auburn loses 5 star recruit.

            Pitino may have gotten released.
According to sources, Tom Jurich was asked to fire Rick Pitino, refused, both were fired

Interim Louisville president Greg Postel says there will be a press conference at 1. Pitino, Jurich won't be there, he says.

Louisville was a Top-5 team entering this season & just fired its head coach & AD two days before the start of practice. Unreal development.

Maybe Pitino can fall back to his experience in the escort business.

              Glad that this was caught.

Pitino is a fantastic coach, but not a very good person. Have talked to a few people who have met him "Behind the Scenes" and they didn't have nice things to say.

                  softer news coming from Louisville
Louisville's Tom Jurich has been placed on administrative leave with pay and Rick Pitino without pay, per Greg Postel.

If and when their names show up on an indictment, they'll be fired, the DOJ will dig for the major players in their investigation first, then go for those that are complicit with the crime, who may or may not be charged depending on their level of involvement.

The smart thing to do is wash your hands of all this as quickly as possible ,to derail any illusion of being deemed uncooperative or overly sympathetic to those criminally charged. That would be bad PR. It's all about maintaining one's image when all's said and done. That's the most important issue for Institutions of higher learning I think.Lets face it, everyone's going to look out for #1.

Re: Scandels at the NCAA basketball

Kansas is a high profile Adidas school. So far KU is saying they haven't been contacted or implicated (shocker). But, I'm sure this whole mess is going to grow and wonder what their roster will look like in a couple months.

The only reason I bring this up is because we play them.

From what I have read, Pitino must be given 10 days notice before he can be fired for "just cause", or Louisville must pay a penalty. Once that 10 days is up, he is gone.

All I want from this is for Kansas to be implicated (sorry KULaw). I know so many self righteous, annoying, KU fans.
