    UND Hockey National Champs

    UND wins the Frozen Four: UND 5, Quinnipiac 1

    I think the announcer said the prior National Title in Hockey for UND was 16 years ago but for the last several years they've had one of the top win/loss records. They have a new coach this season and he had 11 freshmen on this team.

    Congrats to the Fighting Hawks.

    Quinnipiac is the school known for its political polls.

    I realize it has nothing to do with this topic, but I do wish SDSU would have created a hockey team. South Dakota is a perfect place for the sport and would have a great recruiting grounds right across the border. Although they could try to start it up now, it would takes years and way too much money to have a team, and then it would only be able to compete with some of the lower teams. Also, I don't think it would get the support it would need to just exist.

      You're right on all points: 1) post has nothing to do with the topic; and 2) you've stated the reasons why hockey at SDSU is a non-starter.
