VT and Iowa State hired the two "hot prospects" in Matt Campbell (Toledo) and Justin Fuente (Memphis). Smart of both of them to strike early.

LSU decided to keep Les Miles, which I think was smart.

USC this morning announced they are keeping Clay Helton, which I also agree with.

Illinois is also keeping their interim coach... which I guess?

Major Openings

Georgia - you have to think they have someone special in mind to replace Richt.

Virginia - not surprising

Rutgers - not surprising

Miami - no idea what they will do, seems like Charlie Strong is staying in Texas.

South Carolina - could be a big time job for the right person.

Missouri - same as South Carolina... need the right person

Maryland - may be over their heads in the big 10.

Syracuse - maybe they bring back former coach Doug Marrone? He's an Offensive Line coach in the NFL right now.

Rutgers - see Maryland. could be over their heads in the Big 10.

UCF - ? Only included because of how bad this team has been.

Georgia - Kirby Smart - DC of Alabama. could be a good hire? McElwein's success at Colorado State and now Florida is making Saban assistants big money.

Miami - Mark Richt from Georgia. Should be a good hire? He's a good recruiter, and he's now in recruiting heaven.

Maryland - DJ Durkin - DC of Michigan.

UCF - Scott Frost - OC Oregon. I think he'll do well here.

Of note:
Dino Babers of Bowling Green going to Syracuse is interesting.
South Carolina and Will Muschamp? An underachieving team, with an underachieving HC (see what Florida did this year). Don't see that as a fit. But he's experienced in the SEC, I guess.
Bronco Mendenhall (BYU) to Virginia. Virginia is the one school I can never figure out. They have resources, and have had talented players, and have not put together a good team in a long time.
