Or would it be year 5? Word is she could be back for another year under hardship and pay her own way since the scholarships for next year are gone.

I thought you had to miss two seasons because of injury (like Gabby) to qualify for medical hardship. Did Luke sit out her true freshman year because of injury or was she just a regular redshirt ?

Her first year was a redshirt. Unless the redshirt is for medical reasons, a second one will not merit an extra year. Gabby's experience did merit the sixth year.
