Mike Breske fired at Washington State

Mike Breske (SDSU 1981) has lost his position as Defensive Coordinator for the Washington State University Cougars. Breske had been a all-conference cornerback and team captain for the Jackrabbit.

If you review Coach Breske's history, you'll note he was USD Coach Joe Glenn's Defensive Coordinator in those good years at Northern Colorado and Montana. Here's his bio, still available through the WSU site (although he is not listed as a coach for the Cougars on the main site).

To think it was between Breske and Stig back in 1996 for head coach at SDSU. I think the committee made the right choice.

Breske was coming off a National Championship coming in for his interview at SDSU. He didn't want the job and it showed in his interview.
