I don't know him or anyone close to him, but let's make sure we're not lumping him together with what's been going on in Montana with the previous arrests. It's not rape, assault of a police officer, etc. It seems as though the kid was drinking and messing around with his friends. Stupid? Absolutely. But we've all done stupid crap when we were drinking.

Not paying a speeding ticket from over two years ago is pure negligence.

I don't know him or anyone close to him, but let's make sure we're not lumping him together with what's been going on in Montana with the previous arrests. It's not rape, assault of a police officer, etc. It seems as though the kid was drinking and messing around with his friends. Stupid? Absolutely. I didn't say what he did was at the same level as some of the other things that have happened. However, he is a Grizz football player and there have been a rash of problems up there with the program in recent years. I think that indicates either a problem with the athletes they are recruiting or the leadership or both. It's likely the latter. Whether it's fair or not some people are going to lump all Grizz football players that are arrested into the same group.

The university has taken steps to address the issues with the program; firing the coach and AD and doing a better job of holding athletes accountable. Mr. Hermanson has been suspended for this weeks game. I think that's a fair punishment in this situation. He has stepped up and taken responsibility.

Not sure how fast he was going to get a $114 speeding ticket, but a ticket on a highway less than 10 MPH over the posted limit is a $20 fine....no joke.

No worries. I didn't take it as an attack. I think for the most part we are on the same page.

What he did isn't bad when compared to rape or battery of a police officer, but when he is a Grizz FB player some people will still make those comparisons.
