  • UMKC expected to fire coach Matt Brown

The only question is: how did the guy keep his job for as long as he did? The words "dumpster fire" have been floating around in various contexts in SF over the SL tournament. UMKC men's basketball has been a dumpster fire for years. Moving to the WAC won't do anything to put the fire out.

(In 'College Athletics' because UMKC isn't smack-worthy. And they're not Summit League any more. Don't let the door hit ya . . .)

I cant remember exactly what he did in the first game against SDSU, but seems like Dykstra had one hell of good game on the perimeter and they never came out after Dykstra until the second half. Is this a sign of competence? It's really not surprising this change is about to happen.

I don't follow UMKC close enough to make an argument either way, but from what I've seen of their program I don't know if Coach K could win there. I think more then just a head coach needs to be fired.

He must have had some incriminating pictures of the University prez or AD.
