Any other Domer fan want to try and tell me how good ND's schedule was?? Not even a top 4 team IMO. Good Lord. 21-0 Bama start of 2nd quarter.

Alabama team that was down 20-0 to an A&M team after one. A&M team that gave up more points to Sam Houston State than the Bizun did. No dog in the fight but that's why they play the games.

Make that 28-0. But I'm sure there will be an epic Notre Dame comeback in the 2nd half...it's god's will right?? Would've NDSU's defense given up 28 in the first half??? Hell..would've SDSU's?? Sorry...just a little peeved THIS is the game that's been hyped by the espn hypemachine for month now. New BCS rule...if you're not in a conference and can make your own cream-puff schedule...ur not allowed in the championship game

I'm no Domer fan but they played Oklahoma,Stanford. Michigan, Michigan State. Hardly a cupcake schedule littered with FCS teams and other Low life FBS teams like alot of schools.

Notre Dame was # 1 in any human poll and would have also been a #1 seed in any conceivable playoff. I love how some peoples irrational hate for that school makes them stupid.

Not a ND fan but according to the final Sagarin ratings they played the 21st strongest schedule in the country - Alabama was at 19.

ND got their asses handed to them by a way better team. Kind of like Sam Houston St. did in the FCS championship game 2nd half. Alabama was way better last night, way better.

They got whipped, but you can't really argue that they earned their chance in that game (under the current system at least). They played a tough schedule and won every game including games at Oklahoma and USC.

The game last night is the exact reason I don't like BCS football. Too many politics. Institute a playoff and settle it on the field. You could bet most years, the title game would be much more tightly contested than last night.

That team -- especially the defense -- that showed up last night was not the Fighting Irish that have shown up most of the year. They didn't tackle at all and they couldn't get anything going on offense, credit to Alabama for that. It was the worst game they have played all year, by far. It was a bad matchup for Notre Dame.

But to say they weren't one of the best four teams in the country is asinine. Their schedule was actually pretty ridiculous, just like it is every year. Cream-puff schedule? Blow it out your ass. Please, explain to me the one cream puff team that Notre Dame had on their schedule? Was it Western Carolina? Nope, that was Alabama. Was it Florida International? Nope, Bama again. How about Western Kentucky? Oh, right Bama.
How about Tennessee Tech? That one was actually Oregon. All of Notre Dame's opponents were from the FBS. Cream puff schedule? Get a clue. You do know that every year Notre Dame's schedule ranks as one of the toughest in the country, right? Of course you don't because you just regurgitate everything that Deadspin and all of the other bias media spew instead of forming your own opinion. One of the best things about not being in a conference is that you get to set your own schedule and instead of scheduling cupcake after cupcake, Notre Dame challenges themselves and always get the best of their opponents because they are Notre Dame.

Your hatred of Notre Dame is showing. Please, explain to me why you hate Notre Dame (guarantee it's something similar to them being overhyped all the time or you grew up when they were dominating college football) and I will explain to you why I love them. I just want someone to give me a reason that they hate them than them being overhyped, I have yet to hear one.

Yes, SDSU's defense would have given up 28 in the first half. Bama's line is full of beasts to open up gigantic holes for two dominant running backs. NDSU's probably would have as well based on speed alone.

Very happy to see there are other Domers on this Board......

Let's not forget ND climbed to #1 and were unranked at the beginning of the season. That is another thing that is wrong with college football. Why not rank the teams 3 or 4 weeks into the season? Any team that is not ranked or ranked in the lower half is at an immediate disadvantage without ever playing a game. It is completely ass backwards.

Alabama was clearly the better team last night and would probably beat ND 9 out of 10 times. From someone who watches all the Irish games when not in Coughlin, I can tell you that was ND's worst performance of the year, specifically on defense. Alas, we will all have to listen to the "SEC!, SEC!" chants for one more offseason.

The Irish are back, and people better get used to it. Their recruiting class is up to #1 with the addition of Max Redfield and are setting up for a legendary class this year. Even if you aren't a fan, I think you would agree that college football is so much more intriguing when the Irish are in the hunt.

From here on out, it's BCS or bust for the Irish.

P.S. Didn't those golden domes look beautiful under the lights? For the life of me I can't understand why they ever had those flat brown helmets and pants.
