We on the news last night they ran a story about two Stanford alumns raising money to save the Cal Baseball team. Here is a link to the story
I know people love/hate the rivalry with USD, but I am in the camp of love the rivalry. I always thought the USD games had more energy and it was good to see high school classmates come up for the game or at least exchange stories during Christmas or Summer break when you ran into each other in your home town.
I know this is only baseball and rugby, but I thought it was a class act by Stanford to help Cal out.
A couple of Stanford alums are teaming up to save their cross bay rivals. Former Congressman Pete McCloskey and attorney Joe Cotchett are both Stanford grads but they're trying to prevent some sports programs at cash-strapped UC Berkeley from being cut.
