12 year old commits to play golf at Oklahoma

This seems a little ridiculous. This article is from August, but I just stumbled upon it today.

Dalke, of McKinney, Texas, who is entering the seventh grade at Spring Creek Academy in Plano, has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at the University of Oklahoma. Dalke is ranked No. 1 in the 2016 class and No. 514 overall in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings.

Good luck OU, courting this kid for 6 years is going to cost some bucks, but no doubt some rich sooner fan has all kinds of pocket cash to cover recruiting.

I think a kid that was real young made a verbal to USC in men's basketball. I think like 7th or 8th grade, but I could be mistaken.
