That would be the polite way to say it.

    Last team from the ESD?

the cornbelt teams in the tourney are, DR Mudcats, DR PBR, Canova, Flandreau, Madison, Harrisburg.

im going over next weekend and spending the night sat night. time for some hot weather so the beers taste better than they normally would taste. the burgers and onions will always get an A+ from me.

I want to get up there but I decided to play in the Pro-Am this year so I'm playing three 6 hour rounds of golf the 6-8th and maybe again on the 9th. I haven't decided how I'm going to handle the conflict in the future. When the tourney is in Sioux Falls I'm less excited to be there, just not the same atmosphere.

I'm going to wait and see the pairings, if Thursday's or Sunday's evening sessions includes some teams I want to see, I'll find a way to get there.

Billy Mac did play some this year when the Cubs needed a player. He played some first base and was the DH.

His step son (Chris Miles) is on the team and is a pretty good pitcher. Billy Mac's only son is still in the upper grades. I would guess going into the 8th grade or maybe a HS fresh this year? Not sure. He will also be a good player.

I'll be there Thursday night through Saturday collecting baseball stories for a SD Magazine article and definitely back again the next weekend. Looking forward to some good games Friday: Larchwood v. Canova (Friday 11 a.m.), Castlewood v. Crofton (Friday 1 p.m.) and Redfield v. Wynot (Friday 5:30 p.m.).

I love SD Magazine, and will look forward to the article! However, I can't help but notice the day you are excited about has 3 non-South Dakota teams!

Those are three South Dakota teams worth watching though. Castlewood and Redfield could go deep in the tournament. I expect Canova to make a serious run.

Very true, and the "out-of-staters" could be tough also.

Did I see that Kerry Jacobsen is playing for Redfiled?

Crofton is going to give Castlewood all they can handle. I don't like the 1 pm Friday start time, I can't make it up there to cheer for the EDL team.

Kerry Jacobsen is playing Redfield along with the whole Osborn crew.

Also I was suprised to see that Montrose didn't make the tournament. I heard they started the year off pretty slow, but started to pick up some steam late in the summer. I guess it didn't translate in an appearance. It's good to Madison in the tourney after getting a team back together three years ago I believe.

                            1. How did Lake Norden do this year?
                            2. Does Bill McMacken still play?
                            3. Does 4 corners still have a team?
                            4. Who won out of Rosebud-TMT league?
Lake Norden lost a play in game and did not compete in the EDL districts.

Billy did play some for the Cubby's this season.

                            Yes.

                            Not sure.

Especially if they start Kevin Cheppenko, the pitcher they picked up from Tea who spent time in the Independent League. I think a couple teams protested games against Tea when he started during the SCL tourney because they didn't think he was a legal player, but I guess all the paperwork was done properly at the beginning of the season.
