V.J. Smith, a Brookings author, will speak and sign copies of his book, "The Richest Man in Town" in Dell Rapids June 25.
The event begins at 2 p.m. in the Middle School Commons.
The event is open to the public.
Smith serves as the executive director of the South Dakota State University Alumni Association. In 2003, he co-produced "The College on the Hill," a look at the history of SDSU.
His second book, "The Richest Man in Town," was released in May 2005.
