New grade school for city?

Discussion of several possible Capital Improvement Plans topped the agenda at the Brookings School District Board of Education meeting Thursday night, including one scenario that could help fund a new elementary school.
The school board announced that Dale Larson, president and CEO of Larson Manufacturing, presented the school district with a potential gift that would enhance both the district and the community.
According to a press release issued by school board President Amy Dunkle, at the request of the board, Superintendent Orville Creighton approached Larson earlier this month to discuss Larson's continued interest in helping build an indoor aquatics facility at the high school pool.
Larson reiterated his support for the pool, as well as his family's vision of building a children's museum in the downtown area. . . . (read more)
