South Dakota State Amateur baseball tourney.

I'm headed up to Mitchell this afternoon to watch my hometown Lake Norden take on Tabor. Norden should get a win and can make a run if their pitching is solid. I love the tourney especially when its in Mitchell. I believe Montrose and Humboldt both won easily last night. Can't wait to have a burger and a beer at Cadwell Park.

They did... outscored their opponents by a combined 23-0. But they gotta do something about their brackets... FIVE of the six CBL teams in ONE bracket?!? COME ON!

Well, Tabor kicked Nordens butt. Solid team in Tabor.

Some Wilber kid thumbed his way to a complete game win for the Dells Mudcats. Contributed a home run, too. Spoke to him after the game. He is clearly the star in that extended family.

Took me a while to mosy on over to this thread. Matt is definitely the baseball star of this family. Although I did pitch 2 scoreless innings of relief over the weekend while playing beer wiffle ball with a bunch of ex-jackrabbits. Had the curve really working.

I was wondering when you would get here. Looks like he threw well again in the semis but ran into a great Redfield team that went on to win the state championship. I didn't make it back up to Mitchell and really missed some great games. Almost all went to extra innings and were decided by 1 or 2 runs. Weather must have been great, too.
