This church has a significant name. I am not connected to this congregation, but have stopped their and toured the cemetery in doing family tree research. My choice of handle stems from my ancestors who mostly came from Tondelag County that is split between north and south. Do not ask me why, I don't have an answer. The early settlers in Minnehaha County from primarily from a town called Meråker located in Nord Trondalag. I have no idea how they chose Nidaros for the name of their churches. Among the Norwegian-Americans we have a group known as a bydglag which was organized to bring those early immigrants together for social events, but now days their primary purpose is family research. The bydglag for Trondelag uses the Nidaros Catheral for their logo, and that's how I chose my handle. So there you go.
