The annual Associated Press athletic awards are out (link to the AP story in the Argus is below). Out of 16 categories, SDSU athletes received recognition as follows:
Celebrity: SDSU’s Nate Wolters
College Men’s Athlete: SDSU’s Layne Somsen
Prep Boys Athlete: Current SDSU basketball player, Lane Severyn from Pierre
College Men’s Team: SDSU Basketball
Severyn's Pierre Govs were recognized as the Prep Boys Team of the year.
