2011 - Walk Now For Autism Speaks

Hello to all,

I wanted to bring to everyone's attention an event that is happening in the Sioux Falls area. That event is the "Walk Now for Autism Speaks" event at Augustana College - Kirkeby-Over Stadium on June 11th, 2011.

This event hits our family pretty square in the nose since our almost 5 year old was diagnosed with Autism two years ago. If you don't know what autism is, trust me you are not alone... We didn't either, until it directly affected our family. Statistics show that every 20 minutes a child is diagnosed with autism, that tells me that alot more people will become aware of what exactly autism is and how it affects people.

I know that a number of people on this board have donated in the past and I cannot thank you enough for your past support. Please cosider supporting us on the walk again this year. It is our hope that we can raise awareness, acceptance and knowledge of autism and how it affects peoples lives. Also funding research into the causes of autism is so very important to help with diagnosis and finding ways to treat/help people who are affected by Autism.
