For DI hockey to happen at SDSU, the only way feasible IMHO would be with a practice facility in Brookings, with the games actually played in a new Sioux Falls arena. Sioux Falls media and businesses would support such an endeavor: although don't think SDSU would ever do it. A Sioux Falls arrangement would make more sense for Vermillion-based USD, as they have fewer sports, tiny local population based, and a major need for significant presence in the Sioux Falls market.

But then again, with a number of underfunded sports like swimming and tennis, doesn't SDSU need major facility upgrades for swimming and tennis to have a prayer of being competitive in DI? An olympic swimming pool is about as costly as an ice arena, if not more.
