nothing against soccer, but man is it long boring and not really a great sport to watch. how bout making the field smaller, more like indoor soccer. instead of 40 minute halves and unknow amount of extra time. make it 20 minute halves and open it up more.

How did the field look? The south side of town is basically a swamp, and all the rain in the last two weeks have left the ground very soggy.

Honestly, the field looked unbelievable for Nov. 6th. The grass was as green as you can imagine, and they had logos painted into the field. The grass was freshly cut, and I think the drainage of the field there must be real good, because I didn't see any standing water anywhere near the field of play. Great game, great crowd, and a GREAT win for the Jacks.

When I got back to my motel it appeared that the NDSU soccer team was just finishing loading their bus to head out of town after losing their match. It seemed strange to see a big group checking out of a motel at 9:30 pm. Maybe it will make a few rooms available for football fans tomorrow night.
