  • Young teams?

I look at some of the SDSU fall teams and see that they are young. I wonder how much they will get better over the next couple years.
Men's golf- 4 of the top 5 finishers are either freshmen of sophomores.
Women's golf- The top 5 are 3 juniors, 2 sophomores and 1 freshman.
Volleyball- They have 1 senior and 1 junior that play most of the game.
Men's cross country- They have 3 juniors and 2 sophomores.
Soccer- The players that got the most shots or assists are all underclassmen.

The Woman's cross country team is the only one that has mostly seniors but they are solid and deep.
I guess the football team could be in this category but they are only getting better.

I see good things coming for SDSU athletics.

We need to snag Megan Hilson (Norm's granddaughter) from Yankton and we'll have the best x-country runner in the state (maybe region) for the next 4 years. I know Rod has been down here a few times. Maybe a couple of her classmates will join her. Keep the connection between Yankton and SDSU going and we'll be strong in x-country for a while to come.

We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are.
