Things are going well for Wags, he is seen in some Raiders pictures sporting the #43.

He is enjoying his time out in Oakland and training in Napa Valley.
First preseason game is August 8th against the 49ers.
Who are the other TE's in camp? Often times the cuts for guys like Wags is going to come down to whether they have significant money tied into someone ahead of him. If they have an underperforming high draft pick and Wags vying for the last selection, he'll probably be on his way out no matter how well he performs.

Looks like its him or the guy from Pitt unless someone cheap with more experience becomes available late. Keep us updated blue.

          From Terry's Blog
          http://www.argusleader.com/apps/pbcs...rgusleader.com

Two rookies from SDSU have begun their quests to make an NFL roster as training camps are underway. In Oakland, TE Chris Wagner is one of five tight ends on the roster, while Mitch Erickson is one of 13 offensive linemen on the Denver roster. Long concerned about his inability to get up to 300 pounds, Erickson has been told by the team - whose zone blocking scheme is very similar to SDSU's - that it would prefer he remain at his more natural weight of 290.

I'm a bigtime Bronco fan so it would be great to have a Jackrabbit on the roster. It's been since Bruce Klostermann was on the team.

Shanahan has always preferred a smaller offensive line for his offense which probably does bode well for Mitch. Denver has a great tradition of solid offensive lines. Their schemes are amazing and have made many an average running back look better than the talent they possesed.

            Best of luck Mitch!

Talked to Chris last night. He's excited camp is done. Game against Tennessee tonight on FOX. Two of the five tight ends are out. He's looking to see a lot of action on the field tonight. So flip on FOX tonight and look for #43 in the black and white

                      Re: Chris Wagner

He played quite a bit with the special teams and third team offense friday night. He said he probably gets to be around for the next 2 games before the roster drops to 75 and then 53 before the opener. The thought is a practice squad spot is a definite possibility.

Nice signature line BH. Are you referring to your own participation here, your work with the Collegian or is that just a little sarcasm?

Watched the interview. Chris comes across in a very modest and posititve manner. I hope he makes the final cut.
