As part of their 50 states in 50 days promo, ESPN has polls set up for each state. Here is a link to South Dakota's:

    Go State! ;D

    Re: ESPN Poll

We are getting split between Football and Basketball! Notice on many questions there are two SDSU events or sites and only 1 USD. If you post your results and look at the percentages SDSU is winning total percentage but USD has the lead. OUCH!

      Re: ESPN Poll

OK, folks, we need to coordinate our answers.

Here are the Filbert Official Votes:

      1) Most Memorable Sports Moment:

The Miracle At Frost Arena and the Cal State Hayward game weren't on the list, so we have to go with...

South Dakota State wins NCAA Div. II basketball title on Sid Bostic's 40-foot shot (1963)

      2) Favorite sport?

      Basketball.

      3) Favorite pro team?
Amusing that none of Sioux Falls' minor league teams made the list. I have to go with:

      Denver Broncos.

      4) Favorite state team?
Hey, there's only one State. Unfortunately, they list both basketball and football. Regular readers will not be surprised with my choice:

      South Dakota State University (Basketball)

      5) Best rivalry?
Well, since USD/SDSU isn't a rivalry any more, the obvious answer is:

      SDSU/NDSU.

      6) Best homegrown product?
Have to go with Billy Mills here.

      7) Best in-state college or pro career?
Alzado, Langer, Timmerman all strong, but have to go with Vinatieri as the only player to have made two Super Bowl-winning plays.

      8) Favorite personality or historical figure?
Call it a quirk, but I've always admired Sitting Bull.

      9) Best place to watch an event?
The Dakotadome is even on this list?

Frost Arena in what should be a landslide.

      10) Have you been to South Dakota?
      Oh, yes . . .

One more thought . . . take this poll ten years from now and I'll bet that each of the questions' #1 answers is about SDSU (except for the pro team, of course).

It is not a poll it is a game to see how long they can keep people on their site.

Hit your back button after voting and you can submitt the same vote again (as many times as you like).

I am sure Mavs#DII found that out and skewed the first sampling just to irritate us. He's got nothing better to do. No one loves him. He comes here to make conversation. Hahahaha.

Does anyone know what time each SportsCenter from each of the 50 States comes on so I can record the one from my parent's hometown of CODY, WYOMING on August 5?

                    Thanks in advance.

where's the love for Cheryl Ladd? Come on people? We're overlooking history here. Don't get me started on Ms. Bach. She spawned a fashion trend unrivaled to this day!!!

I'm imagining an army of wide-eyed interns and low-paid production assistants trying to keep people in the background from flashing body parts at the camera.

Then I better record the August 10 SportsCenter after I record Wyoming's (August 5) and Hawaii's (August 6). LOL
