    Peterson Breaks Course Record



    BROOKINGS, S.D.-South Dakota State University golfer Trent Peterson set a new course record at the Brookings Country Club this past Sunday. Peterson, a sophomore from Eagan, Minn., ended play with a score of 61. His stats for the round included seven fairways, 15 greens and 22 putts. Charlie Jacobson and Scott Muzensky were his playing partners during his record setting round.

    The Jacks will begin the fall season this weekend at the Hawkeye Intercollegiate. Start time for the tournament is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday. SDSU will resume play on Sunday at 8:30 a.m.

    That is an amazing round of golf! Coach Baszler has really put together a solid program on the men's side and are going to be very competitive this fall. Plus, they are all a bunch of good kids.

    Congratulations Trent, that is way deep!!!

      61 No big deal, I've shot that at Brookings CC lots of times... Oh wait... was that score for 18 holes? Nevermind. ;D

      Yeah, thats a fine round of golf Trent!!! Go get em at the Hawkeye Invitational.
