This will give the separate thread for women. It may not relieve all confusion, but it is a step in the right direction.

Omaha lost to Kansas on the 13th.

USD wins in overtime against Drake in Vermillion.

5 sec left in regulation, Drake inbounds under Yotes basket and LOSE control of the ball and it is immediately tied up on the floor , possession favors Yotes who inbound it from the sideline by their basket with 2.4 sec and Monica Arens drives in to tie it all up and extend the game. The Planets all aligned up for the Yotes as they held a slight advantage for the most part in OT and pulled out the win, all Drake had to do was get the ball in cleanly in regulation and waste 5 sec or get fouled and they would have walked out of the SCSC with the win....very exciting game to watch.

There were many prime seats available to watch from as well. Coyotes are looking very special in the comeback.

NDSU loses to Wyoming 66-57. Close through 3 quarters. NDSU looks a little better. Maybe a little.

And it is final from Vermillion. Yotes women shoot 35% while the Bears shoot 45%. There will not be 2 MVC teams lose in SCSC. Mo State 74 USD 66 There will likely be a new #1 mid-major after this game.

Wyoming is not a god team, as had been said before

My takeaway from this game. Monica Arens is good, she is a #1 stop. Madison M is developing a consistant outside shot, stop her. Their inside players are what they are. SDSU can match up with them any day of the week. Whenever Taylor Frederick is in the game, take it to her. She can be beat by our bigs all day long, then let her shoot the mid range jumper. Duffy is a tough matchup, but he was pretty quit tonight. The new girls outside of Corngable making a couple three's were off my radar.

Arens does play very hard and looks better on offense, she plays hard nosed defense as well. She is also a flopping machine and prone to fouling.

Duffy, Lamb and Sverjen will make their O go. McKeever still gets out of control too often and is a poor shooter when driving to the bucket. She will also turn the ball over when sped up, but has gotten better.

Mo State gave USD all sorts of problem with their length, they are also very skilled. They will remain in the top 25 all year.

USD is firmly the favorite in the league and we will need to be at our best to play with them this year. Even though they lost, their defense will give us some problems with our lack of outside shooting.

I agree. I was most amazed probably of the ability of Sverjen to keep her butt off the floor!

Their defense is good. I don't know if I'm allowed to say it or not but I don't think our backcourt can handle that, at this point in the season?
