USD was down 17 in third quarter. Drake had 2 point lead with 2.6 seconds left and got tied up inbounding ball and USD tied it as buzzer rang and then won it in overtime. Drake went cold 4 quarter and had big time foul trouble.

Well this is confusing. We should start a separate women's and men's thread.

I appreciate keeping the two threads separate. That said, Coyote fans could have a good year with both of their teams.

The Coyote men's team has a lot of nice pieces and experience back this year to compete for the championship. Winning the Rainbow Classic in Hawaii this weekend is a good testament to their team. Having former All-Summit big man, Tyler Hagedorn back in the middle has to help. Hagedorn was injured last season and red-shirted. Stanley Umude's return is huge. He was a 1st Team All-Summit selection last year. While he's listed as a guard, he will likely have to defend forwards with their guard heavy lineup. Lots of experience back on the perimeter. Triston Simpson is back for his senior campaign after being honorable mention All-Summit the last two seasons. He was also a significant contributor his freshman season. Cody Kelley caused us problems last season after transferring in from Wyoming. He was named to the Summit All-Newcomer team last year. Tyler Peterson and Brandon Armstrong also have tons of experience and are very good role players. Finding more depth inside is their biggest weakness.

I appreciate quality teams, even if they have to wear red.

The bison had 2 games in Islander Invitational. They handled Texas A & M CC 57-45. They dropped the game to Stony Brook 64-57. That is back to back games scoring 57 points. The offense must be struggling early and the defense is stout. Also, Richman has 100 wins as head coach in Fago.

North Dakota loses to Valpo 74-60.

            PFW beats Stetson 79-55.

We want the Summit to be more than a one-bid league. USD has stepped it up in women's basketball and now it appears they're doing it on the men's side, too. Good for them and good for the Summit League.

The yotes may need to turn the bus keys over to the basketball teams!

Saturday and Sunday were not great for Summit MBB against D1.

                          Wichita St over ORU 68-59
Utah Valley wins at Fargo 68-62

NDSU scratched out 16 points in the first half against 3-4 Indiana St (ESPN+). They made six FG (2-16 on 3pt). ISU played a clunky half also, or it would be a 30pt lead.

Does anyone still view NDSU as the Summit favorite?

Until someone proves otherwise they have. Lot back from a team who finished string last year. I'm not sold on usd. Outside of hagedorn Nd umude I dont feel like they have much more then some role players imho.
