  • GDT: Jackrabbits vs Mastodons @Frost Arena

The Mastodons come to Brookings on a very snowy day. It is the 34th meeting for the 2 programs. Currently the Jackrabbits lead the series 32-1. Coach Paul is long gone from Ft Wayne and his replacement Coach Nelson may be relocating as well. The coach's Twitter has been quiet for 2 weeks as assistant coach Alberts has been on the big chair. The game will feature an auction of the Jackrabbit WBB pink jerseys in a fundraiser for breast cancer. It is not likely the Mastodons get that second victory in the series at Frost tonight. Go Jacks!!

Our #12 goes into tonight's game with 2,159 career points. That's 118 short of Kevi Luper's all time SL record of 2,277 points. Pound the paint and close the gap Macy!

Mastodons putting up a good fight, only ahead by 14 at the half.

The offense has looked good, but I'm guessing AJ won't be pleased with the D.

17 points on 7 of 8 shooting for Larson. Her progress is an excellent sign for what’s to to come both this season this and next.

              On to the big one.

seems to be a lot of chatter about the game on Sunday

It sounds like the wind is going to be blowing 40 mph on Sunday.

The next seven days look like a late-winter weather trainwreck. That's probably the most frustrating thing about the basketball season here in the north - especially at a school that relies on traveling fans.

Personally, I'm excited enough about this weekend's games to now switch from hoping to travel back and forth to booking a hotel room in Brookings. I only wish the wrestling match were Saturday night instead of Sunday - someone dropped the ball there.
