I’m super interested in Tanner Sloan against somebig time competition. He’s been destroying the open tournaments.

Agree. The other Freshmen, Clay Carlson at 141 is another one to keep an eye on.

According to Flo, sounds like Gross will be wrestling. Sloan has looked amazing. He appears to be the real deal and will have the chance to prove it this weekend. Curious how the young guys do at 141.

Brackets are up. Don’t see Coapstick, Gross or Molitor. Looks like everyone else projected to wrestle is there. http://www.trackwrestling.com/tw/ope...6705&pageName=

Pohlmeyer has #1 Kolodzik from Princeton. Sloan will wrestle #4 Warner from Iowa. Wrestling resumes at 7 CT.

Wow! Sloan is a beast. He manhandled that kid from UNC and then just destroyed the #4 wrestler in the country. It was cool to get the occasional view of Gross coaching him too.

Is he the second best wrestler we currently have at SDSU?

Yes and he has a good chance of being SDSUs next champ. I would say pull his redshirt but SDSU isn't a good enough team this year to do it

Pohlmeyer still alive in consolation bracket and Sloan is in Semis. Everyone else eliminated.

Sloan looked impressive to say the least. No need to pull SloanÂ’s redshirt this year. The team is young and wonÂ’t be contending for a Big12 title or top 10 finish at NCAAs. I sense we have one AA (Gross) and possibly one more (AA) in Pohlmeyer. Should get Z Carlson and maybe one other NCAA qualifier in Mueller.
