  • Donald Lockwood Fishing accident

We lost a loyal alum, employee and long time PA announcer for basketball and wrestling on Friday Dec 21 at Lake Preston. Don was ice fishing and apparently did not realize the danger of thin ice. Don was 89 years old and probably had more viable immune system that myself. I always thought he was a very capable announcer for basketball games.

Went to the service for Mr. Lockwood today and it was very nice. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, trapping, and fishing. Don and Cleo Lockwood were the SDSU Family of the Year in 1992 they mentioned. I grew up listening to him on the PA for the Jacks basketball games. Can still here his voice.

      RIP Don!
