I think it’s going to be an interesting year in the Summit. Us and USD still are clearly the class of the field. WIU was hammered hard with graduation. They have some girls who I think can score, but they have been absolutely mauled on the boards in all of their games (even the preseason games). Denver I think is ready to move up into the same tier as WIU, and I think will even pass them. ORU has some talent and will probably look the same as last year. I’m intrigued by Omaha as they have really added some size that appears to be very athletic. It probably won’t manifest this year, but in a year or two think they could be quite good. UND will probably battle WIU and Denver for the 3rd spot. NDSU/IPFW both suck...

            Veteran Day games
UND beats Valparasio on the road 62-56. Valpo is preseason pick 8 out of 10 in the MVC. 57 fouls called in this game.

Denver hosted Air Force today. There were 10 Pioneers that had double digit minutes in 92-66 win. There were 59 fouls and 40 turnovers in this game.

It is finally over in Vermillion as Incarnate Word loses to Coyotes 96-43.

Bison play New Hampshire in Fargo today. They were first to 50 and win 56-51. Bison have 8 available players and none of those are named Jacobson. They have 2 players foul out in the 4th quarter. Bison look capable of being at bottom of Summit.

WTF is WIU doing playing a DIII school with an enrollment of less than 600?! Evidently the Illinois School for the Blind already had a game scheduled for this date...

In the KSU/Omaha game, Omaha had the lead at the end of 3 and looks to have actually led much of that game. Think they are going to be much better than originally thought.

I watched some of the Yotes game during breaks of the Jacks game. The Yotes couldn’t buy a 3 point bucket. They looked pretty winded about half way through the third quarter as well. Drake is a tough team as well.

Yotes host Shockers at Pentagon. Yotes get a big crowd(1892 to watch) the Shockers(4-1) pick up their first loss 73-64. Duffy scores 23 and the bench puts in 49 minutes with Monica Arens getting 26 of those minutes. There was shorter than normal bench for that game.
