A RTC is beneficial for a Division 1 program to allow the wrestlers train year round and the regions wrestlers whether youth or high school can also benefit from the training site. When you are allowed x amount of coaches in a University program, and RTC coach(es) (depends on how much money has been raised for the RTC program) can cross over and assist the NCAA University program, being that they are funded by the RTC.

"Essentially, the Regional Training Centers aren't directly tied to the university payroll. They have senior-level athletes and a coach that is separate from the university. They are paid by the RTC."

It has been shown that successful RTC program leads to successful NCAA program. Penn State is a good example.

Thanks a million for explaining this. I knew there was a new facility in the works but had idea about the USA Wrestlers Association involvement. They obviously want to keep the collegiate sport alive. This is good for SDSU. No problems here.

Anyone know if Hahn was in Chamberlain today? I saw Bono was hitting up Hutmacher.

No doubt the Hutmacher household was busy hosting at least two wrestling coaches yesterday.

Yes very busy. Will the Hutmacher’s get a new tractor like the farm family in the movie Blue Chips? I can’t imagine both coaches not looking around for family needs.

Got a very nice Handwritten letter in the mail today from Coach Hahn. It was in regards to being one of the 173 donors that wrestling had during the #OneDaForState campaign. In case those of you out there are unaware, Wrestling had the highest # of unique Donors during One day for state out of the entire Athletic department.
